Well, no. What you see up there is not some designer 24 karat gold-plated gift for some big celebrity at some part of the world, its Samsung’s way of christening the Olympic Games that are to be held at Beijing next year. Apart from being a special 18-karat gold plated phone that marks the announcement of the Olympics next year, this P318+ also comes with some general frills like dressy wallpapers and a shiny logo. Launched this weekend, this one comes packed without a price tag. Obviously, it’s a campaign tool you see, and price would be told only upon request. For whatever your intelligence is worth, you obviously know it’s not going to be cheap. But if you’re a big time Olympics fan, and can’t wait to enjoy all the leg and barrel of the game, sporting something that’s as exclusive to the game as its opening run might be a good idea. This is of course Samsung’s third official Olympics phone and commemorates the 2008 Beijing Olympics. That’s all we know on this for now, but would keep you updated if anything else comes up. (NiRa)
