Aptera Typ1: Get 300mpg from a $30.000 Hybrid

California is now in the green race of America and is here to give Detroit a piece of their medicine. Aptera, a Carlsbad, CA-based company is out with a car (not practically a car as it has three wheels); I should say a transport vehicle that gives a whooping 3-0-0-Miles-Per-Gallon. We sure think it is just a concept car or a vehicle and we see things like these all the time. NO. This has been driven and practically tested; it is a hybrid (I will compromise on that), but even then it is six times times more than a Prius.
The body is made of composite structures, to provide light weight and strength. It is expected to be around 30K. That’s pretty good like 300mpg for $30,000. I wish my car was like that for the same price. Ok, it does not have 4 wheels, so what? For those figures, I’ll happily drive a Unicycle.
The single rear wheel is what makes it a rear wheel drive and the hybrid battery attached to it. It fuels it’s A/C with solar panels on the roof. The design is the only problem, coz it seems like it’s just out of Jetsons. The car is designed funny for efficiency against Air Drag, and it has four screens inside for rear view, along with navigation and all the regular gauges. The only other thing is that it comes with gull-wing doors which is sweet, but the highest speed is 55 mph. Not for the Autobahn, but this is is also suggested by its child seat provision. AkSh
